    Question:
    How does meth cause you to lose weight? What does it do to your body that makes it lose the weight? Do you still lose weight even though you eat normal daily meals?

    Answer:
    Methamphetamine is a stimulant and also an appetite suppressant so when a person uses meth it takes their appetite away and they're just not hungry. Because it's a stimulant a person is full of energy and very active, this also causes the person to lose weight. Frequent meth users will probably lose weight even if by chance they are eating healthy good food throughout the day.

    The problem is people who use meth to lose weight also lose their health and this just isn't worth it. Not only does it make you lose weight and destroy your health, but it also causes sores, uncontrollable itching and scars. People who use meth unfortunately look unhealthy and eventually appear much older than they are.

    Followup Question:
    I've been smoking for a while and I've lost a lot of weight and now I'm scared to stop and gain it back. I know that sounds dumb. So I'm smoking a couple times a day just not to eat. What should I do?

    Answer:
    Smoking meth is much worse that gaining a little weight and eventually the health problems associated with meth use will be far worse than gaining some weight. If you stop smoking meth, exercise and eat 3 healthy meals throughout the day you won't gain weight. Just make sure that you get 20 to 30 minutes of exercise like walking as often as possible. This will help with anxiety and depression too. Stay away from sugars and fats as much as possible. Fast foods, fried foods and sweets will only cause you to gain weight and defeat the purpose. Try not to eat late in the evening or before bed, sometimes a brisk walk when possible in the evening will not only help with weight, it will relax you, keep your metabolism going and help you sleep.

    You will feel so much better about yourself because you will be in control of your eating and non-use of drugs, they're not controlling you. Take it one day at a time, be proud of yourself, and remind yourself every day that 'you're worth it'.
