Dad Sentenced for Driving High on Meth and Causing Wreck Endangering Daughters Lives

Dad Sentenced for Driving High on Meth and Causing Wreck Endangering Daughters Lives

In April while high on meth, Johnathan Harty was driving a hundred miles an hour down a Seattle highway weaving in and out of traffic when he crashed into three vehicles KOMO News reported back in September. Their report states Harty had a blouse on and he was wearing fake breasts, he had no pants on, and his daughters aged six and four were in the back seat of the vehicle when the incident took place.

I can't imagine how frightened his daughters must have been because the KOMO news report states that before the crash, the young girls were pleading with their father to slow down. Due to the crashes that resulted from their father's reckless meth-fueled ride, the young daughters suffered bruising on their necks. Months later, Johnathan Harty was given the maximum sentence of twenty nine months in jail with the loss of his license for 7 years from Judge Ken Schubert according to KOMO News.

According to family members, one of the young little girls was still having nightmares and was scared to be alone in her bedroom or go anywhere by herself. Johnathan Harty did apologize tearfully for his selfish actions to his family and daughters in court.

It's sad, people don't realize that the use of meth or any other drug doesn't just affect the person that abuses them. It's devastating, in one way or another everyone suffers when a person abuses drugs, including innocent children and society. For the full report, go to KOMOnews.com.
