In Phoenix not long ago, an elderly man and woman received an envelope in the mail with a birthday card inside of the envelope contained more than a card MyFoxPhoenix reports. The birthday card also contained quite an unusual gift, a white powdered substance inside a baggy.
The elderly couple's return address was on the card and after opening it and finding the enclosed gift, the 81 year old man and his wife of seventy three called 911 according to their report. The bomb squad had to be called in as a precaution and as it turns out, the powdered substance in the baggie was methamphetamine valued around a thousand dollars.
When the card was originally sent via US postal service, it was intended for a location in Pennsylvania which turned out to be a fake address. Since the sender put the elderly couple's location as the return address, the card ended up in their mailbox so they opened it. Authorities don't know who the thousand dollars worth of methamphetamine was intended for or, who even sent it MyFoxPhoenix reports.
