    A wonderful organization that was ranked the 3rd most effective contribution in the world is called The Meth Project. The center of this organization is in Palo Alto, California, the Meth Project is a national non-profit organization that's funded by a grant from the Siebel Foundation.

    The purpose of the Meth Project is to prevent and considerably reduce the number of people using meth for the first time. This prevention program uses public service messaging with the use of TV, radio, billboards, newspapers and the Internet. The Meth Project also uses public policy and community outreach programs to help prevent and reduce the use of meth.

    Barron's Magazine is one of the leading business and financial publications in the country. In 2009 they ranked the Meth Project number 5 of the "25 Best Givers" because this non-profit organization has made such a difference in reducing meth use and prevention. In 2010 Barron's Magazine ranked the Meth Project number 3 as the most effective contribution in the world.

    The Meth Project is extremely successful preventing the use of meth through their campaign to educate people about the serious dangers associated with methamphetamine use. The Meth Project began in 2005 and since has made a major contribution preventing the use of meth through their prevention efforts and research based campaigns.
