Meth is such a dangerous substance, it's hard to imagine a child as young as eleven using the drug let alone getting hooked on it but sadly, that's what a Texas mother recently discovered about her son KMOX reports. Liquid meth is highly potent and the most powerful form, the 11 year olds mother Rena Alvarado found out her son was injecting the drug after finding a used syringe in his wastebasket.
After discovering the used needle in her son's trash, Rena Alvarado contacted Texas City Authorities and showed them the paraphernalia she found hoping they would arrest her son so he could obtain help for his addiction. Her son wasn't arrested and now she's desperate to find him help.
The young boy was taken to UTMB by the Alvarado's and he tested negative for meth but confessed to using the drug. The eleven year old said he obtained the meth at a city skate park from a thirteen year old.
Sadly, the eleven year old is hooked on liquid meth which is the most powerful form of the drug there is and it's tearing his mother apart. At the time of the report, Rena Alvarado said her son was suffering from symptoms of meth withdrawal including shakes and vomiting.
Meth is a major concern in many areas throughout the U.S. and according to the KMOX report, it's also a problem in Texas City. The prior month at a middle school, 6 eighth grade students were suspended for use and distribution of meth. Hopefully Rena Alvarado was able to find help for her son because he's only eleven and has his whole life ahead of him.
